Compal Electronics showed a concept laptop called DualFlip with a very unusual design. It received two removable displays at once, which can be used in a variety of configurations thanks to the special hinge design.
The laptop is equipped with two 13.3-inch touch displays that can be placed vertically or horizontally. In addition, the additional screen fits easily under the keyboard – in this scenario, the DualFlip looks almost no different from a regular laptop.
The display unit is detached from the body and can work as a free-standing monitor or tablet. At the same time, the user still has access to text input, since the keyboard is equipped with a wireless communication module.
Most likely, the new product will not go on sale – Compal does not sell products under its own brand, producing devices for other companies under the ODM scheme. The technical characteristics and estimated price of the unusual laptop are also unknown.
