Cyrus Mistry’s luxury car was very fast
The speed of Cyrus Mistry’s luxury car was very fast. It covered a distance of 20 km in just nine minutes after crossing the Charoti check post in Palghar district. The accident took place when Mistry’s luxury car collided with a ‘divider’ on a bridge over the Surya river in Palghar district, adjoining Mumbai. At that time Cyrus Mistry was going from Ahmedabad to Mumbai.

Anahita Pandole was driving the car
In this accident, a person named Mistry and Jehangir Pandole died, while renowned gynecologist Anahita Pandole (55) and her husband Darius Pandole (60) were seriously injured in the accident. Jahangir’s brother Darius was a former independent director of the Tata Group, who had opposed the removal of Mistry from the post of chairman. The accident happened at 2.30 pm. Anahita Pandole was driving the car.

Cyrus was not wearing seat belt
“According to preliminary investigation, speeding and error of judgment caused the car accident. Both the people who lost their lives in the accident were not wearing seat belts,” the official said on Sunday night. He said, “On seeing the footage of the CCTV cameras installed at Charoti check post, Palghar police found that the car had passed through the post at around 2.21 pm and the accident took place 20 km ahead (in the direction of Mumbai) at 2.30 pm.”
