Many more Nissan Almeras travel around Russia – budget sedans based on the first generation Renault Logan, assembled at the facilities of AvtoVAZ. But in 2019, the global Almera model is gone, although the sedan remains in some markets. For example, in Thailand, where an updated car has now debuted – a model of 2023. It is not at all like the sedan that is well known in Russia.
The updated Almera received modified headlights, a new grille and front bumper, the color palette has also changed and new options have appeared. There are no more naturally aspirated engines: only a 1.0-liter three-cylinder turbo engine with 100 hp is installed under the hood. It works in conjunction with a CVT, but later a more affordable version is promised – with a manual transmission.
In the basic version, everything is modest: fabric interior, media system with a small screen, air conditioning. But the top version already has full LED optics, a media system with an 8-inch screen, all-round visibility and blind spot monitoring systems, climate and cruise control.
If translated into rubles, then the cost of Almera in Thailand starts at 1.25 million rubles. According to rumors, the basic Vesta NG will cost the same in Russia.
