The Americans launched a cruise missile from a transport plane

The successful launch was reported by the US Air Force Research Laboratory on December 16. A cruise missile took part in the test, and it was launched from the MC-130J Commando II. The aircraft crew received target designation data in flight and dropped four transport pallets with one real ammunition and three mock-ups over the Gulf of Mexico.

The missile and mock-ups separated from the pallet, the ammunition eventually hit the target. What kind of rocket was used is unknown. However, the military is hinting that the ammunition is now in service. What the goal was is also not reported in detail. Lockheed Martin said it was a ship.

Now the military wants to drop a cruise missile from the C-17 transporter.
