Elon Musk regained the title of the richest man in the world in the Bloomberg rankings after briefly losing the title to the Frenchman Bernard Arnault.

Musk’s position was sharply strengthened after the rapid growth in the value of shares of Tesla Inc. this year. Stocks are up about 100% from the January 6 intraday low as investors bet on riskier stocks again amid signs of economic strength and a slowdown in the rate hike by the Federal Reserve. The company has also benefited from increased demand for its electric vehicles after lowering the prices of several models.

Bloomberg recalls that at the end of last year, when the value of the automaker’s shares reached a minimum, the 51-year-old billionaire lost $ 200 billion of his fortune. He set an absolute record: before him, no one had lost such a part of his fortune.

According to Bloomberg Billionaires, Musk is worth $187.1 billion today. The second place is held by Bernard Arnault with 185 billion dollars. In third place is Jeff Bezos with $117 billion.
