Tesla Navigator and other Standard Connectivity services become paid

Tesla has changed its policy regarding “connected” services for its vehicles.

The Standard Connectivity package under the new rules becomes paid eight years after the original sale of the vehicle. Previously, the package was provided completely free of charge for the entire life of the car.

Note that the Standard Connectivity package adds basic features such as navigation without viewing real-time traffic or satellite maps, as well as the ability to stream music via Bluetooth.

Eight years after the release of the Tesla car, Standard Connectivity will cost $10 a month.
