The report said that “Tesla is working with several major Internet providers in North America, Europe and Asia to test this feature.” Tesla hacker ‘Green’ has confirmed that the feature is the backend of Tesla’s software and the company is currently testing it.

The feature is reported to be useful for improving connectivity to Tesla vehicles, as data requirements are increasing with more Internet-based entertainment features inside vehicles and Tesla extracting more data from them.
