The year has just begun, but analysts are already making forecasts. Loup Ventures expects Tesla to ship 45% more EVs in 2022 than in 2021.
This forecast means that 1.2-1.3 million electric vehicles will be produced in 12 months.
Loup Ventures analysts do not believe in the ability of Rivian Automotive and Lucid Group to significantly increase shipments.
“We believe that Rivian and Lucid will face challenges in meeting agreed delivery expectations given that they are ramping up production in a tight labor and component market,” Loup Ventures said.
Analysts expect Rivian to ship approximately 42,000 vehicles, Lucid 22,000.
If the forecast comes true, Tesla will account for 96% of the total supply provided by the three EV makers.
