But before selling or exchanging the phone, you will have to keep many important tips in mind. Otherwise you will suffer a huge loss or you may even be a victim of fraud.
Calls and messages
Be sure to remove your call and message history first before selling or exchanging a phone to someone. It is very important that you carefully check and delete your messages. Messages may also contain some very important messages, including your financial or personal information.
Before selling the phone, delete all the UPI and payment apps that are in your phone and also remove its data.
SIM cards and memory cards
If you are using a SIM card, withdraw the SIM card from the phone. Or if you are using eSIM, please delete the profile of eSIM. You can delete it from the phone’s settings. If you’re using a memory card, take it away, too.
Data Backup and WhatsApp Backup
Back up the data contained in the phone before making it available for sale. Use Google Photos, Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, DropBox, or any other cloud services for backup.
Also, be sure to back up WhatsApp before selling your old phone. Because there are all kinds of personal things and chats. With backup, when you install WhatsApp on a new phone, your chats will be restored there.
