Taxi and car sharing services switched to Chinese and Russian cars

According to Delovoy Peterburg, due to the lack of European foreign cars, Russian taxi and car sharing services began to replenish their fleets with cars of Chinese and Russian origin.

A year ago, Citydrive was one of the first to purchase a batch of Chinese cars, and in November of this year, the service sent 500 new Chinese-made cars to work in Moscow and St. Petersburg.

The popular Chinese models Haval Jolion and Chery Tiggo 4 appeared in Yandex.Drive in St. Petersburg, and Yandex.Taxi is negotiating with all car manufacturers available for cooperation and has already received a quota for the purchase of 10,000 cars for partner taxi companies preferential prices.

According to representatives of leasing companies, today car sharing and taxi services choose Chinese and Russian brands also because they consider them more reliable, although they could import European cars through parallel imports. Very important factors are the availability of spare parts and warranty repairs.
