The previous day, several people who tried to book through the online portal complained about the website crashing, due to which they were unable to book the Tiago EV.

The electric hatchback will be on display in major malls across major cities from October 2022. The test drives for the customers will start from the end of December 2022 and the deliveries will start from January 2023. The first is 19.2 kW and the second is 24 kW pack. Their driving range is 250 km and 315 km respectively. In this, the electric motor of 19.2 kWh battery generates 45 kW and 110 Nm of torque while the electric motor of 24 kWh battery pack generates 55 kW of power and 114 Nm of torque. The battery packs are liquid-cooled and Tata Motors is offering a warranty of 8 years or 1.6 lakh kms on the battery pack and motor.

The design of the Tata Tiago EV is very similar to its petrol model. You will be able to buy it in five colors – Teal Blue, Daytona Grey, Pristine White, Midnight Plum and Tropical Mist. Talking about the features available in the Tiago EV, it gets the connectivity of the ZConnect app along with the 45 connected car feature, with the help of which you can find real time charge status, car location and turn on/off the AC.

Features like hill start and descent assist, i-TPMS, automatic climate control, rain-sensing wipers, automatic headlamps, push button start/stop and cruise control have been provided in the car. It also gets multi-mode re-generation, which is also available in the Nexon EV Max.

The Tata Tiago EV is built on the latest Ziptron platform, which has got a 4 star rating from the Global NCAP, which makes it a safe car. Its battery pack and motor have got an IP67 rating to protect against water and dust. Two airbags have been given in its front. The ABS system is fitted with EBD to avoid accidents due to sudden braking. A reverse camera is available to make parking easier. There is a fog light at the front.
