Tata Tiago EV: Delivery of affordable electric car started, runs 315km on full charge

Tata Tiago EV Delivery: The long range variant of Tata Tiago EV is being delivered first. Whereas, the deliveries of the lower range model are expected to start from the end of this month.

Tata Tiago EV Range: Tata motors affordable electric car Tata Tiago EV The delivery has started. The deliveries of this car have started with 2,000 units across 133 cities in India. Tiago EV was launched in late September last year. The auto company claimed that more than 20,000 bookings have been received for this car, out of which 10,000 bookings were done on the very first day. Let us tell you that the affordable electric car has been launched at an introductory introductory ex-showroom price of Rs 8.49 lakh.

The ex-showroom price of its top variant is Rs. 11.79 lakhs. However, all these prices are introductory. The company implemented these introductory prices for the first 10,000 bookings, but after receiving overwhelming response from the customers, the introductory prices were implemented for the next 10,000 bookings as well. Currently, the ex-showroom price of Tiago EV ranges from Rs 8.49 lakh to Rs 11.79 lakh.

Tata Tiago EV: Battery and range

Tata Tiago EV comes with two battery pack options. There is a battery pack option of 19.2kWh and 24kWh. The leading auto brand is taking the deliveries of the bigger battery pack version earlier. At the same time, the delivery of the smaller battery pack version will start in the end of February. The 19.2kWh model will cover a distance of 250km on a single charge, while the 24kWh model will run 315km.

Tata Tiago EV: Waiting period

The waiting period for the long range model of the Tata Tiago EV is four months. Whereas, for the lower range version, one may have to wait for 5-6 months. According to the reports, the demand for the model of Tropical Mist and Teal Blue paint shade is the highest. The Tiago EV is based on the company’s Ziptron high-voltage architecture. On the other hand, the waiting period for the Tigor EV sedan for private buyers is one month.

More demand in states like UP-Bihar

Interestingly, the maximum bookings for the Tata Tiago EV have been done in states like Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Bihar and Madhya Pradesh. This trend is completely different from Tata Nexon EV and Tigor EV. More than this, the demand for long distance models is coming from these states. However, customers may face problems due to lack of better charging infrastructure in smaller cities as compared to metro cities.
