Safari Facelift Design Details: In October this year, Tata Motors is about to launch the Safari facelift in the country. For which the company is testing this updated SUV in India. Spy pictures of the SUV, recently caught testing, have revealed some clear details of its design. The design of the Safari facelift has been inspired by the Harrier EV concept, which was showcased at the Auto Expo earlier this year. It is expected to get a new turbo-petrol engine along with a new interior.

Looking at the testing unit of the Safari facelift, it is known that it has been redesigned externally. It will get an LED headlamp set-up with an LED DRL, a full wide LED light bar spread across the bonnet and a vertical main headlamp cluster in the bumper. There will also be a black-out remedy around the headlamp housing and an integrated air vent in the cluster. It also gets an all-new bumper and an all-new grille with slim horizontal slats. There are not many major changes to the profile, but the new spy shot reveals blacked-out, twin five-spoke alloy wheels. The Safari is likely to get new, slimmer and connected LED tail-lamps and a slightly tweaked rear bumper.

Major changes are also expected in the interior of the Safari facelift. It may also get a new two-spoke steering wheel seen in the Nexon facelift along with a new 10.25-inch touchscreen like the Red Dark Edition.

This SUV can get a new 1.5-liter four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine, which can generate 170 hp power and 280 Nm torque. Along with this, the existing 2.0-litre turbo-diesel engine will also continue to be available. It will get the option of 6-speed manual and automatic gearbox.
When will it be launched
Tata Motors will start production of the Safari facelift at its Pimpri plant in September 2023, and it could be launched in the market by October 2023, just before Diwali. This car can compete with Mahindra XUV700, and Hyundai Alcazar. The XUV 700 gets a petrol and a diesel engine option.
