The EV market in the country has doubled in the first half of the current year as compared to the same period last year. Recently, market research firm Canalys had reported that EV sales in the first half were 48,000 units. There has been an increase of about 137 percent on year-on-year basis. Tata Motors has sold 34,000 units of EV in the first half. The company has a share of about 72 percent in this market.
