Tata Motors: The company is said to unveil the production-spec version of the Altroz EV or Nexon EV on April 29.
Tata Motors: Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Limited (TPEML), a subsidiary of car maker Tata Motors, is coming up with a new Electric Vehicle (EV) in the Indian market. The company is preparing to launch this electric vehicle on April 29. The company has indicated this by tweeting. However, Tata Motors has not yet given any specific information about this upcoming electric car. It is being said that the company may take the wraps off the production-spec version of the Altroz EV or Nexon EV. Now it will be revealed only on April 29 whether the company will launch Altroz EV or updated Nexon EV or a new model will be introduced.
The Tata Altroz EV was unveiled in its pre-production concept avatar at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show. Apart from this, it was also showcased at the Auto Expo 2020 in India. However, very little information is available about its powertrain. It is being said that it could have the same powertrain as the Nexon EV. The Tata Nexon EV currently gets a 30.2kWh lithium-ion battery pack along with an electric motor.
This powertrain generates 129 hp and 245 Nm of torque. It is claimed that this vehicle can cover a distance of 312 km in a single charge. Also, the long range Nexon EV is expected to get a 40 kWh battery pack, which is claimed to cover a distance of over 400 km on a full charge.
