Tata Motors made its highest sales in November on the basis of SUV

Global automobile company Tata Motors has achieved its highest monthly sales in November. With this it has moved closer to second place in the country’s automobile market. It is giving tough competition to Hyundai Motor which is at second position in this market. SUVs have a major share in the sales of Tata Motors.

The company’s managing director, Sailesh Chandra, said that SUVs like Nexon, Harrier and Safari have helped Tata Motors achieve its highest monthly sales. Tata Motors had launched the new Nexon and Nexon EV before the festive season. Last month the company’s sales were around 53,000 units. This is an increase of approximately 30 percent on a year-on-year basis and approximately eight percent compared to the previous month. Chandra said that this year the company has sold 79,374 units in the festive season that lasted for 47 days. This is an increase of 18 percent compared to last year’s festive season. He said that the company’s annual sales record could be set in the current year.

Tata Motors plans to install around 10,000 charging stations for electric vehicles (EV) in the next two years. For this, the company has tied up with operators like Chargezone, Glida, Statiq and Zeon. It ranks first in the EV segment of the country. it has a big EV There is also a charging network. The company has sold more than 1.15 lakh electric vehicles in the country.

Chargezone, Glida, Statiq and Zeon have around 2,000 charging stations across various cities in the country. With the tie-up with Tata Motors, their number will increase to around 12,000. Tata Motors has three electric cars – Nexon EV, Tigor EV and Tiago EV. It plans to launch three more electric vehicles in the next one year. In the second quarter of Tata Motors, sales of commercial vehicles increased by six percent to 99,178 units. EV sales have been increasing rapidly. The EV market in the country has doubled in the first half of the current year as compared to the same period last year. Recently, market research firm Canalys had reported that EV sales in the first half were around 48,000 units. There has been an increase of about 137 percent on year-on-year basis.
