New Delhi.
Tata Buys Ford Sanand Manufacturing PLant:
The long-running deal between Tata Motors and Ford for the Ford India manufacturing plant in Sanand, Gujarat has finally been finalized and the Tata Motors EV subsidiary has bought the manufacturing unit for around Rs 726 crore. The news of the approval of the deal comes nearly a year after American automobile company Ford Motors left India in September 2021. Tata has another manufacturing unit in Sanand, where the Tata Nano was produced and this plant is just opposite the Ford plant.

Tata will give jobs to Ford employees
It is important to mention here that Ford India has about 23000 employees direct and in-direct. Tata Motors has spoken of giving jobs to all the employees working at the Ford Manufacturing Plant in Sanand, which is Tata’s generosity and will benefit lakhs of people. Tata Motors has requested the state government to waive the land transfer rate after the purchase of Ford’s plant. Tata Motors has proposed to pay 20 percent of the Jantri rate, i.e. Rs 66 crore. The Gujarat government has accepted the requests of Tata Motors.

Millions of cars will be made here every year

Tata’s electric cars will be ready in these plants
Let us tell you that in the year 2011, Ford established a manufacturing plant in Sanand by investing about Rs 8000 crore. After suffering a loss of $2 billion in the Indian market during nearly 10 years, Ford finally decided to leave India in September and then production of all Ford cars also stopped. The last unit of the Ford EcoSport came out from the Sanand plant at the end of last month and a few days later, Tata bought the plant. Sanand plant can produce 3 lakh to 4.2 lakh cars every year. Now here Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Limited (TPEML) will produce its electric vehicles.
