Tata Harrier EV was recently introduced by the company. Till now only the prices of its entry level variant were revealed. Now the company has announced the prices of all the variants that come with its Real Wheel Drive system.
Tata Harrier EV Price & Features: Tata Motors recently officially launched its new electric SUV Tata Harrier EV for sale. At the time of launch, the company had announced the prices of only its entry level variants. Now the prices of all the variants of this SUV that come with the real wheel drive system have been revealed. Its price starts from Rs 21.49 lakh and goes up to Rs 27.49 lakh (ex-showroom).
The company has said in its statement that, at present, only the prices of the Real Wheel Drive variant have been announced. The official booking of this SUV will start from July 2, before that the prices of its Quad Wheel Drive (QWD) dual-motor variant will also be announced on June 27. It is important to note here that the cost of AC fast charger and its installation is not included in the price of the car. Customers will have to bear this cost separately.
How is the new Harrier EV:
Tata Motors has retained the bold and muscular styling of the original model in the Harrier EV. It has the same daytime-running lights (DRL) and headlamps as the diesel version. But it gets a new grille and bumper which gives it a distinct identity. Sharp creases and clean lines are seen on the exterior body. Apart from this, a strip of continuous LED DRL makes it more attractive.
The base variant of this electric SUV comes with features like 19-inch alloy wheels with aero inserts, dual-tone paint, LED bi-projector headlamps, LED DRLs, LED tail lights, connected lights at both ends, roof rails, integrated side steps, rear wiper and washer, puddle lamps and shark-fin antenna. The Harrier EV is 2mm longer and 22mm taller than the standard Harrier diesel, although their wheelbases (2,741mm) are the same.
The cabin is great:
Harrier EV comes with leatherette seat upholstery and dual-tone leatherette-wrapped steering wheel. This SUV will give an upmarket feel even in its base variant. It is being given automatic climate control, 8-way driver and 4-way front passenger seat adjustment, rear AC vents, terrain mode, drive mode, drift mode, cruise control, dual 10.25-inch screens (one for infotainment and one for digital instrument cluster). Apart from this, tilt and telescopic adjustable steering wheel, iRA connected car technology, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity and over-the-air (OTA) updates are included.
Two different battery pack variants:
Harrier Electric is getting the option of two different battery packs (65kWh and 75kWh). Its base-spec Adventure variant is being given a 65 kWh battery pack. Which is paired with a 238 PS electric motor mounted on the rear axle (RWD). At the same time, the higher variant gets a dual-motor setup, in which the front wheel motor gives an additional power of 158 PS. These electric motors collectively generate a torque of 504 Newton meters (Nm). This electric SUV is capable of catching a speed of 100 kmph in 6.3 seconds.
Driving Range & Charging:
The company says that the larger battery pack (75kWh) variant of Harrier Electric will give a driving range of up to 627 km on a single charge. In the real world, this variant is capable of giving a driving range of 480 km to 505 km. Tata Motors claims that its battery supports 120 kW DC fast charging, which can charge it from 20 to 80 percent in about 25 minutes. The company also says that its battery will be charged so much in just 15 minutes that you will be able to travel up to 250 km.
