Starting with the flagship SUV Safari, it is available in Gold Edition, Adventure Persona, Dark Edition, Kaziranga Edition and the recently introduced Jet Edition. Tata Safari has been made available in a total of 7 variants – XE, XM, XMS, XT, XT+, XZ, and XZ+. The USB-C ports on the XZ and XZ+ variants of the Safari will now be available in the second row seats as well. Let us know that the USB-C port has been made available as standard in the front row of all variants of Safari.
Both these variants will now come with an 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple Car Play. Apart from this, winged comfort head restraints have been given in the second row seats of both the variants. In terms of safety, the Safari gets drive dose-off alert, panic brake alert and after-impact braking system.
Tata Harrier is also available in Jet, Kaziranga and Dark special editions. While the XZ variant now gets USB Type A and Type C charging ports in both the first and second rows, the XZ+ variant gets the benefit of advanced electronic stability program. These include drive dose-off alert, panic brake alert and after-impact braking.
The top-spec XZ+ variant now gets disc brakes on all four wheels and now also gets a wireless charging pad. There has been no change in the powertrain of both the SUVs and they continue to use the 2.0-litre turbo-diesel engine. This engine produces 168 Bhp of power and 350 Nm of torque. It is mated to a six-speed manual and a six-speed automatic gearbox.
Tata Motors has registered excellent sales in the month of October. The company sold 45,423 units of passenger vehicles last month, which is 33 per cent higher than last year. However, it is 5 per cent less than the month of September. The company has sold 45,217 units of vehicles in the domestic market.
Tata Motors sold 47,654 units of vehicles in September 2022 and registered a decline of 5 per cent in October. The company has also registered an increase in the sales of electric vehicles. The company recorded sales of 4,277 units of electric vehicles last month, which is 158 per cent higher than 1,660 units sold in the same period last year.
The company launched its cheapest electric car Tiago EV only last month. It has been brought to India at a price of Rs 8.49 lakh (ex-showroom). On the very first day it got 10,000 bookings.
