Tata Motors has launched the CNG version of the Altroz, which comes in multiple trims and the top-end variant costs around Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom). The new Altroz iCNG version gets a total of four colors including Opera Blue, Downtown Red. The Altroz iCNG is the third CNG model in the company’s fleet after the CNG versions of the Tiago and the Tigor. It also gets a host of premium features, including voice-assisted electric sunroof, wireless charger and air purifier.
According to Tata Motors, the Altroz iCNG is offered in six variants, XE, XM+, XM+(S), XZ, XZ+(S) and XZ+O(S), with prices starting from Rs 7.55 lakh 10.55 lakh and goes up to Rs. Both the prices are ex-showroom. The model is offered in Opera Blue, Downtown Red, Arcade Grey, and Avenue White color options. The Altroz iCNG is being offered with a standard warranty of three years or 1,00,000 kms.
Talking about the specifications, the Altroz iCNG gets a 1.2-litre Revotron engine, which generates 73.5 PS of power at 6000 rpm and 103 Nm of torque at 35000 rpm. Tata has also introduced twin CNG cylinder system in this car to keep maximum boot space. The cylinder is placed under the luggage area. Not only this, the Altroz iCNG model is the first model to come with an advanced single ECU, in which the car can be started directly in CNG mode only.
The company has given full features in the car. The CNG hatchback gets projector headlamps and LED DRLs. It gets an eight-speaker system tuned by Harman. The touchscreen infotainment system supports Android Auto and Apple Carplay. It gets premium leather seats as well as rear AC vents along with fully automatic climate control system. Also, the height of the driver’s seat can be adjusted.
Diamond cut alloy wheels are available in the car. The Tata Altroz iCNG is built on the ALFA (Agile, Light, Flexible and Advanced) architecture platform, which has achieved a five-star rating in the Global NCAP crash test. A micro-switch is also provided to keep the car off while refueling, which ensures the safety of the car.
