Variants and Engines

The new Tata Altroz ​​DCA has been introduced with XM+, XT, XZ, XZ (O), XZ+, and Dark Edition variants, priced between Rs 8.10 lakh and Rs 9.90 lakh (ex-showroom). It also gets a new Opera Blue paint scheme. The DCA (Dual Clutch Automatic) gearbox is available with the Altroz’s 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine that produces 84.8 hp and 113 Nm of peak torque. It also gets a 5-speed manual gearbox. Apart from the 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine, the Altroz ​​also gets a 110 hp 1.2-litre turbo petrol motor and a 1.5-litre diesel engine that develops 88 hp. Both the engines are only mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.

Tata Motors says that its DCA transmission will set the gold standard in automatics as it offers many segment-first features. It is equipped with features like wet clutch with active cooling technology, machine learning functionality, shift by wire technology, self-healing mechanism and auto park lock.

However, no changes have been made in terms of Creature Comfort features. The Altroz ​​gets a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and iRA Connected Car Tech, automatic climate control, cruise control, etc. It competes with Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Honda Jazz, Hyundai i20, and Toyota Glanza.
