Buying an Ather electric scooter just got easier. Recently, Ather Energy has partnered with IDFC Bank for financing its electric scooters, under which many benefits are being given to the customers. The company claims that this is the most unique finance offer available on electric scooters in the market. The company says that customers can buy Ather’s electric scooter at the monthly cost of a petrol scooter.

Ather in partnership with IDFC Bank introduces attractive financing offers on 450X and 450 Plus e-scooters. Now the customer will have to pay only 5% of the on-road price of the scooter as down payment for taking the Ather scooter on finance. On the other hand, if the customer gets his old scooter exchanged, then he will not have to pay any down payment for the new Ather scooter. This is a first of its kind offering in the electric two-wheeler market.
The company is offering a maximum EMI period of 48 months on its scooters. At the same time, loan approval for scooters is being given from the bank only within 45 minutes. The processing charge on loan approval is completely free. This finance scheme is also being made available in smaller towns through IDFC Bank. Ather Energy currently sells two electric scooters in India – the 450X and the 450 Plus. The Ather 450X is available at a price of Rs 1.39 lakh, while the Ather 450 Plus is available at a price of Rs 1.17 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The latest version of the Ather 450X electric scooter comes with a 3.66 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. Thanks to its powerful battery, the scooter offers a certified range of 146 kms on a full charge.
The Ather 450X comes with five different riding modes which include Eco, Smart Eco, Ride Mode, Sport Mode and Warp Mode. A nickel-cobalt based lithium ion battery has been used in this scooter, which weighs 19 kg. The battery is mated to a permanent magnet synchronous motor which delivers a maximum power of 6.4 kW.
Currently, Ather is providing more than 350 charging stations across 38 cities. The company plans to set up more than 5,000 e-vehicle charging stations in the next 3 years.
