In February 2022, Suzuki Motorcycle India sales stood at 58,603 units from the domestic market. The 59,530 units of two-wheelers sold in February 2021 saw a marginal decline of 1.5 per cent on a year-on-year basis. The company also exported 13,597 two wheelers from India in February 2022. Suzuki Motorcycle India registered a growth of over 12 per cent as compared to 12,132 units exported in February 2021.
Commenting on the sales performance, Satoshi Uchida, Managing Director, Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt Ltd said, “Despite the ongoing semiconductor availability constraints at present, we continued our growth momentum in the month of February 2022. The markets are experiencing a strong demand from both. Therefore, we are cautiously optimistic that as we enter the new fiscal year, semiconductor availability will improve and we will be able to fully meet customer demand “
Let us inform that Suzuki Motorcycle India has completed the production of 60 lakh vehicles at its Gurugram factory. The company manufactured the Suzuki Avanis 125 as the last unit. The Suzuki Avenis 125 is being sold in the Indian market along with the Suzuki Access 125 and Suzuki Burgman Street 125 in the company’s 125cc scooter line-up.
The company has launched Suzuki Avenis 125 in the Indian market keeping in mind the young riders. It has been made available in India at a price of Rs.86,700 (ex-showroom). This scooter has been brought with full digital display and many connectivity features, which is becoming the choice of young customers these days.
Talking about the engine, the company has given 125cc engine in Suzuki Avanis 125 which is equipped with Fuel Injection (FI) technology. This engine generates maximum power of 8.7 bhp at 6,750 rpm and peak torque of 10 Nm at 5,500 rpm.
Some of the key features on the Suzuki Avenis 125 include a large and bold turn-by-turn navigation system along with the Suzuki Ride Connect. It also gets body-mounted LED headlamps and LED tail lamps. The scooter weighs 106 kg.
