Suzuki Motorcycle India has released the monthly sales figures for February 2022, during which the total sales of the company stood at 72,200 units including domestic and exports. Compared to 71,662 vehicles sold during the same month in 2021, the Japanese two-wheeler maker’s sales performance remained almost flat last month, showing a year-on-year growth of less than 1 per cent. However, as compared to 70,092 two-wheelers sold in January 2022, Suzuki Motorcycle India saw a month-on-month growth of over 3 per cent.
Commenting on the sales performance, Satoshi Uchida, MD, Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt Ltd said, “Despite the ongoing semi-conductor availability constraints, we are experiencing a strong demand. From both domestic and export markets, we We have managed to continue our growth momentum in the month of February 2022. Hence, we are absolutely optimistic that as we enter the new financial year, the semiconductor availability will improve, and we will be able to meet the demand of the customers. will be able to complete it.”
In February 2022, the sales of Suzuki Motorcycle India stood at 58,603 units from the domestic market alone. The company saw a marginal decline of 1.5 per cent year-on-year in February 2021 as compared to 59,530 two-wheelers sold in India. At the same time, the company also exported 13,597 two-wheelers from India in February 2022. Suzuki Motorcycle India has registered a growth of over 12 percent as compared to 12,132 units exported in February 2021.
