According to an insider known on Twitter as momomo_us, AMD is working on a more affordable version of the 8-core Ryzen 7 7700X processor. The new model will be designated Ryzen 7 7700.
The insider indicates that with the same 8 cores, the TDP of the CPU will be 65 watts. That is, the frequencies will be lower than those of the Ryzen 7 7700X, but the price should also be lower. Considering that Intel Core 13 processors have already gone on sale, and there are many more models in the current “blue” line, and the prices are quite adequate, AMD now needs to increase the number of “popular” 6- and 8-core CPUs in the Ryzen 7000 line for more successful competition.
momomo_us has already been marked by a lot of later confirmed leaks. For example, in May 2020, he declassified the line of Intel Core 10 processors a few weeks before their official premiere.
