Dealers in Russia have begun accepting orders for the new Hyundai model, which has never been in the official assortment of the company in Russia. We are talking about the Santa Cruz pickup truck, which the company itself calls the “millennial pickup truck”.
There is no frame body, no huge platform behind the cab, no outstanding off-road capabilities. But there is four-wheel drive – with a clutch for connecting the rear axle. The base engine is a 2.5-liter atmospheric engine with a capacity of 193 hp, working in conjunction with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The top version is with a 2.5-liter turbo engine with a capacity of 280 hp. and 8-speed “robot”.
Hyundai Santa Cruz is built on the Hyundai Tucson (NX4) crossover platform, which is also used in the Kia Sportage (NQ5). Dimensions are 4970 x 1905 x 1695 mm, wheelbase – 3005 mm. The length of the loading platform is just over 1.3 m. In Russia, they ask for a car from 3.0 to 3.8 million rubles.
