“Subtlely reminiscent of our ten-year-old Ladas,” the expected prices for Iranian cars in Russia are named

The publication “Behind the wheel” published the approximate prices of previously presented Iranian cars, which should soon appear on the Russian market. Recall that in August Iran Khodro (IKCO) brought the Tara sedan to the exhibition in Moscow, and the Saipa company presented the Shahin sedan.

Almost all Iranian cars subtly resemble our Ladas ten years ago. There are quite a lot of electronics in recent developments. But basically everything is very simple, including materials and design solutions – the Iranians do not need expensive cars. And a lot of complaints about the build quality and individual components

“Behind the wheel”

Za Rulem writes that IKCO Tara will be the first to enter the Russian market – this should happen at the beginning of next year. A “four-door” the size of a Hyundai Solaris is equipped with a simple atmospheric 115-horsepower 1.6-liter engine, paired with a 5-speed “mechanics” or a 6-speed “automatic”. The expected price is from 1.5 million rubles.

The standard equipment of IKCO Tara, which has been produced since 2020, includes four airbags, cruise control, a rear view camera, a media system with a 7-inch display and a sunroof, but for Russia it can be expanded with new LED optics, all-round cameras, heated rear seats and a revised exhaust system.
The Saipa Shahin sedan is no longer equipped with an atmospheric, but a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine with a capacity of 112 hp, which works with a 5-speed “mechanics”. Among the Shahina options there are two airbags, keyless entry with an engine start button, a multimedia system with a 7-inch display, a rear-view camera, parking sensors, ABS and heated mirrors. It is expected that in Russia it will be certified by the spring of 2023. The expected price is from 1.2 million rubles.
