According to MTS, Russians have become more likely to buy smartphones and other equipment by subscription. Over the past year, the number of smartphones purchased under the Upgrade subscription program in MTS stores has increased 11 times. Data for January 2023 and 2022 were compared.
Last year, several tens of thousands of devices were sold in the MTS network under the subscription program at an average price of 55,000 rubles. Every tenth buyer chose a subscription instead of installments.
