Stock Market Holiday: Stock market closed today, there will be no trading in BSE and NSE on the occasion of Shri Ram Mandir Pran Pratistha ceremony.

 

 

Stock Market Holiday on Ram Mandir Inauguration: If you are a stock market investor then this is important news for you. Today, Monday, i.e. 22nd January, the stock market will be closed (Stock Market Holiday). There will be no trading in the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on the day of Shri Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha ceremony in Ayodhya. Maharashtra government has declared a holiday on January 22 due to the consecration of Ram temple in Ayodhya. Let us tell you that NSE and BSE had organized a normal trading session on Saturday. Currency markets will also remain closed on Monday. This week, apart from Monday, markets will also remain closed on Republic Day on Friday.

Money markets will open for half the day

According to the statement of RBI, the currency markets will remain closed till 2.30 pm on January 22. On that day, they will open at 2:30 pm instead of 9 am and trading will take place till 5 pm instead of 3:30 pm. Money market means buying and selling of bonds, dollars or other currencies. Before this, on Saturday, the Indian stock market functioned like normal. At the end of trading, Bombay Stock Exchange Sensex closed at 71,423.65 with a decline of 259.58 points or 0.36 percent. At the same time, Nifty of National Stock Exchange closed at the level of 21571.80 with a decline of 37.65 points or 0.23 percent.

In the Commodity Derivatives segment and Electronic Gold Receipts (EGR) segment, trading will remain closed in the morning session i.e. from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. But in the evening session it will start again at 5:00 pm. That means there will be no action on MCX (Multi Commodity Exchange) and NCDEX (National Commodity Exchange) from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

How will the market move in future?

The future direction of stock markets will be decided by the quarterly results of companies, global trends and activities of foreign portfolio investors. Analysts have expressed this opinion. This week will be of less trading sessions. There will be a holiday in the market on 22 January. Maharashtra government has declared a holiday due to the consecration of Ram temple in Ayodhya. Apart from this, stock markets will remain closed on Friday 26th January on the occasion of Republic Day.

Vinod Nair, head of research, Geojit Financial Services, said that during the week, US Gross Domestic Product (GDP) data, Bank of Japan (BOJ) and European Central Bank (ECB) interest rate decisions will decide the direction of the market. At the domestic level, Axis Bank, JSW Energy, Bajaj Auto, DLF, ACC and JSW Steel will announce their third quarter results.
