Valve recently released Windows drivers for Steam Deck. The journalist tested the device in different games and compared the performance
Valve has announced the release of Windows drivers for Steam Deck. While there are certain restrictions, you can only install Windows 10, and audio drivers are still in development.
A Forbes journalist noted that Windows 10 occupies about 34.6 GB on the Steam Deck. At the moment, only a “full” (clean) installation is possible, in the future the bootloader should support several operating systems.
The first game was Forza Horizon 5. With low graphics settings, Steam Deck with Steam OS gave out 54 frames per second, and with Windows 10 a little more – 55 fps.
In Shadow of the Tomb Raider, the difference is small: 46 fps versus 45 fps.
Cyberpunk 2077 also managed to run, 45 fps versus 38 fps under Windows 10.
The reason for this gap in frame rate in the case of the CD Projekt product is not clear.
