Starlink raises prices for Ukrainian users – the monthly fee and the cost of equipment will increase

Starlink, which ensures the operation of satellite communications, including on the territory of Ukraine, raises tariffs for payment. These prices will take effect from December 29, 2022, informs “Kommersant”. As noted, users have already begun to receive letters about this.

The reason for the increase in prices is not officially named, it is only said that the cost of equipment and the amount of the subscription fee will increase.

The provider raises the cost of services from $60 to $75 per month, and the terminal and antenna now cost $700 instead of $500,” the company said. At the same time, customers who are not satisfied with the price increase may refuse Starlink services.

Note that in September, SpaceX contacted the Pentagon and warned that it plans to turn off the network with a terminal in Ukraine due to rising costs. Then the company asked the military department to take on additional costs. But already in October, Elon Musk announced that the company would not turn off the systems.

According to the billionaire, the company pays for the work of about 11,000 satellite communication terminals out of 25,000. All the rest are paid for by third-party countries and various funds.
