The developer of the device is the private Spanish company PLD Space, which planned to launch the first experimental rocket back in 2020, but the flight was canceled due to engine flaws. But now the rocket is in full working order.
The Miura 1 will reportedly reach an altitude of 150 km in 120 seconds and is a reusable rocket that will land using engines and parachutes. The rocket is 12.5 meters long and 0.7 meters in diameter.
In the future, a more powerful Miura 5 launch vehicle will be built on the basis of Miura 1 for launching up to 300 kg of payload into low-earth orbit. It is planned to launch in 2024.
