Sony has improved the performance of the PlayStation 5

Sony has released a system software update for the PlayStation 5 console, which runs under the number 22.02-06.00.01.

The changelog only mentions improved system performance, however this should be enough for owners to update their console as soon as possible.

This September, PS5 launched a major update 22.02-06.00.00, which brought 1440p video output over HDMI options and the ability to create custom game lists in the Game Content Storage Library.

Recently, Sony launched a new revision of the PlayStation 5, which received a 6nm AMD SoC called Oberon Plus. The design and specifications of the Oberon Plus are exactly the same as those of the 7nm Oberon, but the new SoC is produced using a more modern process technology, resulting in reduced power consumption and heat dissipation.

Nearly two years after the PlayStation 5 went on sale, modders have found a way to jailbreak the console, albeit with some restrictions.
