Sony disables account creation on PlayStation Vita

Sony has released a system software update for its handheld game console, the PlayStation Vita.

Today, May 10, 2022, firmware 3.74 has become available. It brings two innovations. First, you now need to enter your device passcode to sign in to PlayStation Network. According to the developers, this enhances account security.

Secondly, the creation of new accounts for the PlayStation Network and some functions for managing existing accounts are no longer available on the PlayStation Vita. The company notes that full functionality of PlayStation Network account management remains available through a browser on a PC or mobile device.
