Sony has confirmed that it will no longer sell the ZV-E10 in its store or through distributors. The company itself said that procurement of camera parts is being delayed due to a global shortage of semiconductors.
This is far from the only device that Sony has temporarily taken out of production this year. In November, the company discontinued sales of the A7 II, A6400 and A1600 series cameras, as well as the ECM-B1M microphone and PXW-Z190 camcorder. Sony also suspended the release of the Handycam HDR-CX680 in April. And these are not all examples.
Other companies are struggling too. Among those who went to various measures due to the shortage are Nikon, Canon and Fujifilm.
