Hisense has introduced a new mid-range smartphone Hi Reader Pro with an e-ink display. The novelty is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 SoC, 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of permanent memory. But instead of the classic LCD or AMOLED display, the Hi Reader Pro has a 6.1-inch E Ink screen with a black and white display.
This display supports 16 shades of gray, and its frequency is significantly inferior to LCD screens. At the same time, the novelty is estimated at less than $ 250 on pre-order. Other features include a 4000 mAh battery, 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0 support, dual microphones, and Android 11.
It is noteworthy that the company has a Hisense Hi Reader device, and this is not a smartphone, but just a reader with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. It is not yet clear why the company combined two actually different classes of devices in one line.
The timing of the release of new items in China and the global market has not yet been reported.
