The official premiere of Huawei Mate 50 series smartphones will take place only on September 6, but the company has already opened pre-order, and it shows great interest in new products. In fact, more than a million applications for the purchase of new products have already been submitted – despite the fact that neither the characteristics nor the cost are known.
The glory of the predecessors is so unshakable that the Chinese are ordering the Mate 50 in bulk blindly. According to rumors, there will be four models in the series: Mate 50 E, Mate 50, Mate 50 Pro and Mate 50 RS Porsche Design. The first will receive Snapdragon 778G, the rest will receive Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. In both cases, there will be no 5G support. It is also expected to use a screen with a resolution of 1.5K in the Mate 50, but it is not clear whether such a display will also be in the Mate 50 Pro. Another feature of smartphones is associated with the screen – large cutout at the top, just like the iPhone 13. This is explained by the extended functionality of the front camera: for example, it may monitor the user’s posture.
In general, the Mate 50 is one of the most carefully hidden flagships of this year. If almost all the details and high-quality images of the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 appeared almost a month before the announcement, then in the case of the Mate 50, information is extremely scarce. Perhaps next week, Huawei will begin to publish official teasers, then it will become clearer what potential users of these devices can expect.
