OPPO presented a smart watch called Watch X. The main features of the new product are a protected case, good battery life and two operating systems at once. The manufacturer explained why this is needed and revealed the price of the gadget, which is already on sale.
OPPO Watch X received a Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 main chip and a BES 2700BP coprocessor. The first is needed for Google WearOS 4 and typical smartwatch functions, the second is for simple tasks (for example, reading heart rate and other sensors), which are performed by the additional RTOS operating system. This load distribution, according to the manufacturer, allows you to reduce the energy consumption of the gadget.
The watch is equipped with a 1.43-inch AMOLED display (466×466 pixels, up to 1000 nits, AoD), 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB storage. With everyday use, the battery charge will last for 100 hours, and in energy saving mode the device will last up to 12 days away from the outlet. The fast charging function will provide a day of work in just 10 minutes, and the battery will be “charged” to 100% in an hour.
Among other characteristics, the manufacturer notes the presence of Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and NFC modules, dual-band GPS, as well as case protection according to IP68, MIL-STD-810H and 5ATM standards. In the Malaysian market, the smartwatch will go on sale on December 2 at a price of $295; there is no information about its availability in other regions yet.
