Storage company Smart Modular announced the expansion of the DuraFlash ME2 SATA product line with three SSD sizes: M.2 2242 SATA, mSATA (MO-300A) and Slim SATA (MO-297A). These products join the previously released 2.5-inch M.2 2280 SSD with SATA interface.
According to the manufacturer, the new SSDs are designed for applications where small footprint is required. In particular, we are talking about embedded systems for vehicles, medical devices and industrial equipment. These SSDs use 3D TLC flash memory. The drives are guaranteed to operate in temperatures from 0 ° C to 70 ° C (regular) or -40 ° C to 85 ° C (industrial). In addition, the presence of an extended error correction mechanism and a function of end-to-end protection of the data path was noted.
The manufacturer calls the NVMSentry firmware configuration technology developed by SMART Modular Technology as an important feature of all ME2 models. It allows you to adapt the characteristics of the drive according to the requirements of a particular application.
M.2 2242 models are available in sizes from 60 GB to 960 GB and offer read speeds up to 560 MB / s and write speeds up to 500 MB / s. MSATA and Slim SATA drives are available in sizes from 60 GB to 1920 GB and offer read speeds up to 560 MB / s and write speeds up to 520 MB / s. The source does not provide resource and prices.
