Recently, Skoda Auto CEO Thomas Schaefer told the media that he is preparing to set up an electric vehicle manufacturing facility in India in the coming 3-4 years, as the Indian market for electric cars is becoming very favorable and People here are also emphasizing on buying electric cars. Schaefer said that India can emerge as a manufacturing hub for affordable electric vehicles in the times to come. He said that Skoda’s upcoming small electric car will be based on the Volkswagen platform. Skoda can launch a good electric car in India and other countries in the coming time for the customers at a low price.

Currently, the company is ruling the midsize SUV segment with the Kushak and Kodiaq. Skoda is also planning to bring cars on the MQB AO IN platform in the coming times, which will be of different segments and will be exclusively for the Indian customers.
