How’s the sale going?
Czech car maker Skoda Auto continues to strengthen its hold in the Indian market with every monthly sale. Skoda Auto India has released the sales figures for February 2022. According to the data released by the company, Skoda Auto sold 4,503 units last month, while in January 2022 the company sold 3,009 vehicles in India.
Skoda India has registered a growth of around 50 per cent month-on-month. The company says that sales in February 2022 were primarily driven by the Skoda Kushaq compact SUV. Let us inform that in February 2021, the company had sold a total of 853 vehicles. Comparing year-on-year sales, Skoda Auto India has achieved a sales growth of more than five times or 428 percent in February 2022 as compared to February 2021.
The company has recently introduced a new model Slavia and it is getting good response. Talking about its 1.5-litre TSI petrol engine, this engine provides 150 bhp power and 250 Newton meter torque. This engine is available with the option of 6-speed manual and 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox.
Talking about its small engine, the 1.0-litre TSI turbo petrol engine is used in it. This engine provides 115 bhp power and 178 newton meter torque. With this engine, the company is offering the option of 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic gearbox. The Skoda Slavia measures 4,541 mm in length, 1,752 mm in width and 1,487 mm in height, while its wheelbase is 2,651 mm longer.
The company has introduced its cabin with a dual-tone finish, which looks very premium. The dashboard and upholstery have also been kept in dual-tone. The dashboard has also been given a black piano finish with dual-tone finish, which makes it even more premium. Features like dual-spoke steering wheel, steering wheel mount control, automatic climate control, 25.4 cm touchscreen infotainment system and 20.32 cm digital cockpit have been provided in it.
Skoda has taken this step keeping in mind the convenience of its customers and now it has to be seen how the company reacts to this move.
