Skoda India has registered a growth of around 50 per cent month-on-month. The company says that sales in February 2022 were primarily driven by the Skoda Kushaq compact SUV. Let us inform that in February 2021, the company had sold a total of 853 vehicles.
Comparing year-on-year sales, Skoda Auto India has achieved a sales growth of more than five times or 428 percent in February 2022 as compared to February 2021. However, we have to consider the fact that Skoda’s top-seller Kushaq compact SUV was not on sale in India during this period last year.
Apart from this, neither the new-generation Skoda Octavia or the Kodiaq SUV was on sale during that time. So this huge growth in sales is just a one-time anomaly and we cannot consider it a real growth. Zac Hollis, Brand Director, Skoda Auto India has given the details of the sale.
He added that “I am happy with the positive momentum we are seeing in 2022. Most importantly, it is not just about selling more cars, it is about having more Skoda Auto customers and fans in India. is about.”
He further added that “This is the perfect platform for the new members of our family, the Skoda Slavia 1.0 TSI and Skoda Slavia 1.5 TSI sedans to come and take us to even greater heights in the months to come.” Let us know that the company launched the new mid-size sedan Skoda Slavia on 28 February.
