The company’s steady sales growth can be attributed to new products like the company’s latest launch Skoda Slavia sedan and the popular Skoda Kushak SUV. It is worth noting that Skoda’s first product under the Bharat 2.0 project was launched in July 2021 and recently celebrated its first anniversary.
Skoda Auto India says that apart from Skoda Kushak and Skoda Slavia, Skoda Octavia and Skoda Superb are also performing well in their respective segments. Though compared on a month-on-month basis, its sales declined by 26 per cent as it sold 6,023 cars in June 2022.
Giving details about the July 2022 sales, Zack Hollis, Brand Director, Skoda Auto India said, “This is usually the period where major purchases are put on hold as it is the monsoon and till the festive season begins. is postponed.”
He further added that “Nevertheless, we have seen solid sales numbers on the back of our Made for India, India 2.0 cars, Skoda Kushak and Skoda Slavia. On the other hand Skoda Octavia and Skoda Superb are performing well in their respective segments. Huh.”
Zack Hollis said “The Skoda Kodiaq sold out soon after its launch in January. We intend to maintain this energy and very soon 2022 will be the biggest ever for us in our 2-decade legacy in India. Will record as the year.”
Skoda India currently has over 205 touchpoints across the country and the company aims to set up 250 touchpoints by the end of this year. It was only last month that information came out that it has been a full year since the Kushak was launched in the Indian market and during this time the company has sold more than 28,000 units of it.
The company has sold an average of 2,386 units of Skoda Kushak every month. With this figure, it has become the company’s best-selling SUV and due to this the company’s sales have also increased. Skoda Kushak was launched in India in June 2021. The SUV is being sold in India at an introductory ex-showroom price of Rs 10.50 lakh.
