Danish police arrested six men who were involved in torrenting sites. They seized computers and other equipment, as well as money received from illegal activities.
Torrent sites included ShareUniversity and DanishBytes. The latter was founded in January 2021. The police raided the homes of six men. They were between 22 and 41 years old. All were arrested on suspicion of serious copyright infringement and will be released after questioning. The police seized $ 46,700 from them. This money was most likely a profit from pirate activities.
One of those arrested reportedly sold access to servers that were used by a large number of users to exchange approximately 3,800 copyrighted files.
