Simple One electric scooter will be launched on May 23, will get a range of 300 km

Simple One Launch: Simple Energy has informed that it will launch its Simple One Electric on 23 May 2023, this event will be held in Bangalore. The company’s founder and CEO Suhas Rajkumar said that the company has been testing its electric scooter for the last two years. He informed that Simple Energy is the first OEM to comply with the Automotive Industry Standards (AIS) 156 Amendment 3 which provides more protection to the battery. This e-scooter is being claimed to come with a great look and strong powertrain and battery system.

Powertrain and Range

The Simple One electric scooter packs a 4.8kWh removable battery pack paired with an 8.5kW electric motor. This motor is capable of generating peak torque of 72Nm. According to the company, this scooter will be able to deliver the highest range of 300 km per charge in the segment. Also, it will get the safest battery system ever. This scooter can accelerate from 0 to 40 kmph in 2.85 seconds and has a top speed of 105 kmph.

color options

Front and rear disc brake with combined braking system will be available as a braking system in Simple One electric scooter. It gets 30 liters of underseat storage space along with the floorboard. It will get four color options like Namma Red, Brazen Black, Grace White and Azure Blue. Along with this, a touchscreen instrument cluster with multiple control functions and app connectivity will also be available.

how much will it cost

When the Simple One electric scooter was launched in early 2022, its standard variant was priced at Rs 1.10 lakh and the extra range variant was priced at Rs 1.45 lakh. The scooter comes with a standard single battery pack and offers a range of 236 km on a single charge in ECO mode. Although the price of its new variant may be slightly higher. The company says that it will introduce a series of new electric two wheelers, for which it is working on research and development.

 

Will compete with Ola S One Pro

This electric scooter will compete with Ola S One Pro, which has a range of 181 kilometers per charge. Its cost is Rs 1.39 lakh.
