Simple Energy launches an affordable electric scooter
Ola and Ather dominate the Indian electric vehicle market. Customers are liking the vehicles of these companies very much. In such a situation, considering the demand for electric scooters, electric two-wheeler manufacturer Simple Energy has launched its Dot One electric scooter in the Indian market.
This is the second scooter of the company after Simple One. Simple Dot One electric scooter has been launched at a price of Rs 99,000 (ex-showroom). The EV will be available to customers in Bengaluru at this starting price.
Pricing for new customers will be announced in January 2024. According to the report, there is likely to be a slight increase compared to the starting prices announced now. However, the extent of the increase will be known only in the coming days.
Currently it is available with 4 color options, which include Namma Red, Brazen Black, Grace White and Azure Blue. Later it will also be offered in LiteX and BrazenX colors.
You can book Simple Dot One EV online through the company’s official website. The Simple Dot One electric scooter has been launched as a sub-variant based on the Simple One platform. Its design is also similar to the existing Simple One scooter.
Dot One has a 3.7kWh capacity battery pack and 8.5-kilowatt electric motor, which is capable of generating maximum power of 11.40bhp and torque of 72Nm.
The manufacturers claim that this scooter covers a distance of 151 kilometers on a single charge. It can accelerate from 0-40 km/h in 2.77 seconds. Its maximum speed is 105 km per hour.
Simple Dot One also gets 35-litre storage space under the seat for keeping luggage. It has tubeless tires with 12-inch wheels. It also features app connectivity to operate the touchscreen instrument cluster and other features.
Let us tell you that Simple Dot One will initially be delivered in Bengaluru city. After this, delivery will start in other cities. Simple Energy launched its first model in August 2021. Then the company had received more than one lakh bookings.
