Sharkoon Technologies has expanded its headset range to include the B2 model with modular cable and detachable microphone. This design allows the B2 to be used as a headset or as a headphone – whether at home or traveling. The 110cm TRRS cable is convenient for use with mobile devices, while the optional USB and separate microphone / headphone jacks are more suitable for use with a PC. Taking into account the connection of the segment with separate connectors, the total cable length reaches 140 cm, and the version with USB turns out to be 250 cm long. The headset is compatible with the PlayStation 3, 4, 5 and Xbox S and X series consoles.
The headphones use 50mm drivers. The impedance is 32 Ohm, the reproducible frequency range is 20 – 20,000 Hz, the sensitivity is 98 ± 3 dB. The remote control built into the cable allows you to adjust the volume, mute and unmute the microphone. The impedance of the omnidirectional microphone is 2.2 kΩ, the frequency response is 100-10,000 Hz, and the sensitivity is claimed to be -42 ± 3 dB.
According to the manufacturer, the ear cushions are covered with a soft “breathable” fabric especially for long-term comfortable wearing. In addition, the movable cup holder and the headband, covered in synthetic leather, ensure adaptation to the shape of the head. The weight of the headset without cable is 291 g.
For B2, you can download Sharkoon Audio Center software. In addition to general headphone and microphone settings, it provides the ability to create profiles, select and add various effects, support for virtual 7.1 surround sound and a 10-band equalizer.
The manufacturer does not name the price of the novelty.
