MG Comet vs Tata Tiago EV: MG Motor India has recently launched its Comet EV in the country, which is equipped with a lot of features along with a unique styling and compact design. According to the company, its new small electric car is more premium than the Tata Tiago EV. Its cost is also less than Tata Tiago EV. Let us see the full comparison of both these cars.

MG has announced the prices of the entry-level variant of the Comet, which is Rs 7.98 lakh and this is also an introductory price, which means that this price will be available only to a few customers, while the price of its fully-loaded variant is yet to be announced. Has not been done.

At the same time, the price of Tata Tiago EV is currently between Rs 8.69 lakh to Rs 11.99 lakh. The base variant of the Comet EV is inferior to the Tiago EV in many respects.

Range and Specification Comparison

    • The MG Comet gets an electric motor paired with a 17.3kWh battery pack, which produces 42PS of power and 110Nm of torque. It claims to get an ARAI-certified mileage of 230 kmpl.

 

    • While the Tiago EV, comes with two battery pack options, which includes 19.2kWh and 24kWh battery pack. Which generate outputs of 61PS and 75PS/114Nm with 110Nm respectively. It gets a range of 250km and 315km respectively.

 

    • Compared to the smaller battery pack version of the Tata Tiago EV, the MG Comet is less powerful, but both generate similar torque, though there is a slight difference in range.

 

Features Comparison

The Comet EV gets a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment and digital driver display with dual Apple Car Play and Android Auto, while the Tiago EV gets a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wired smartphone connectivity. The Tiago EV gets automatic climate control as compared to the manual unit of the Comet.

Both electric cars get dual front airbags, tire pressure monitoring system, rear parking camera, anti-lock braking system with electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD), reverse parking sensor and tire pressure monitoring system.

Dimension comparison

The smallest car in India, the MG Comet EV measures 2974mm in length, 1505mm in width and 1640mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2010mm, but lacks boot space.

The Tiago EV measures 3769mm in length, 1677mm in width and 1536mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2450mm, with a boot space of 240 litres.
