56 year old wife cheated on her husband

Imagine what it would be like to be the person whom you have chosen as your life partner and whom you have entrusted with your greatest trust. He may commit financial fraud on you. The same thing happened with a 74-year-old man in Mumbai, who married a 56-year-old woman at the age of 70, i.e. 4 years ago. The husband expressed great trust in her, but the woman herself embezzled the money by selling his flat worth more than Rs 3.6 crore behind her husband’s back. The whole story of carrying out this fraud is like this…

This 74 year old man was divorced from his first wife long ago. In the year 2019, he got married for the second time, against which he has now filed a complaint of fraud with the police. He himself is a television serial maker and has kept his identity secret.

It so happened that the person met the accused Renu Singh in 2016. Then she used to work in an NGO. In the year 2017, the man’s first wife died and gradually his and Renu’s contact started increasing. In this way, in the year 2019, both of them became husband and wife. At that time, husband’s age was 70 and Renu’s age was 56 years. The man had two sons from his first wife. The fraud of the second wife came to his notice only after a property dispute with the daughter-in-law of one of his sons.

Such open strings of selling flats behind their backs

The story progressed in such a way that the wife of the son from the first wife, i.e. the daughter-in-law, filed a case in the Bombay High Court regarding a property. At the age of 70, it was difficult for him to make the rounds of the court, so he gave power of attorney of the property to his second wife to hear the case.

It was here that his second wife cheated on him. According to the complaint lodged with the police, Renu Singh sold the flat in her name behind her husband’s back in December 2020. After this, she got Rs 3.61 crore transferred from her husband’s bank account to her own bank account. Now the police have registered a case against Renu Singh in this whole matter.

What is power of attorney?

Power of Attorney is actually a legal document. In this, the owner of the property or a person transfers his powers to another person. So that he can take necessary decisions in his place. The person who issues the power of attorney is called the principal, grantor or donor. Whereas the person in whose name the power of attorney is made is called attorney, agent or doni.

Power of attorney can also be used for other purposes. Like filing tax returns, transacting shares, handling bank related work etc. This is a very useful legal tool for elderly and terminally ill people.
