Seagate Introduces 32TB Exos Mozaic 3+ HDD in Standard Case

Seagate Unveils 32TB Exos Mozaic 3+ HDD with HAMR Technology for Enhanced Storage Capacity: Seagate has introduced a new hard drive model in its official catalog, the Exos Mozaic 3+, which boasts impressive storage capacities, including a 32TB option. This new drive leverages HAMR (Heat-Assisted Magnetic Recording) technology, offering substantial improvements in data storage density compared to traditional hard drives.

HAMR works by utilizing a laser to heat the hard disk plates to 100 degrees in just one picosecond. This rapid heating process allows for higher data recording density, enabling Seagate to pack up to 32TB of data into a standard 3.5-inch hard drive form factor. Additionally, the Exos Mozaic 3+ is available in a 30TB version.

Seagate claims the new HDD offers a three-fold increase in energy efficiency per terabyte compared to conventional models. The company is positioning the Exos Mozaic 3+ as an ideal solution for AI computing and other high-demand applications.
